Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights and eight other U.S.-based human rights organizations on December 8 wrote to the leadership of the Senate Judiciary Committee asking for a thorough review of the record of Alberto Gonzales, President George Bush's nominee to replace John Ashcroft as Attorney General of the United States.
