The 9/11 tragedy changed the world for Muslim-Americans. Anti-Muslim sentiment has increased and Muslims find themselves under heightened public scrutiny. Legal practitioners and others need to understand the issues facing the Muslim community in order to better serve it. Speakers will provide background information on Islam, legal issues facing the Muslim community, and local responses to these issues. Complimentary lunch will be provided for those who preregister.
