Volunteer Speakers Bureau Training Date Approaching
7/8/2004 3:30 PM

Through its Volunteer Speakers Bureua, Minnesota Advocates reaches out aross Minnesota to thousands of school groups, faith communities, corporations, and legal professionals to educate on a variety of topics within human rights.  Presentation topics can include refugee and immigrant rights, women's rights, the death penalty, and more general human rights issues.  To reach such a broad audience on a range of topics, Minnesota Advocates relies on its most valuable resource:  its volunteers.

Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights will host a Speakers Bureau training on July 27th, 6-8pm.

This short training will provide essential background information on Minnesota Advocates, general human rights issues, and guidelines for public speaking.  If you have never attended a past Speakers Bureau training, we request that you attend this mandatory session to gain information about Minnesota Advocates and general human rights issues.  If you have attended a previous training, this session will be a great opportunity to meet new Minnesota Advocates staff, get updated on Minnesota Advocates’ activities, and become reconnected with our Speakers Bureau.

The training will take place at the Minnesota Advocates office.  If you are interested in attending, please contact Colleen Beebe at 612-341 3302 ext. 114, [email protected].
