More than a decade ago, Minnesota Advocates adopted a formal commitment to oppose the death penalty worldwide. However, the strongest opposition to the death penalty movement comes from the public. Community members need to make their voices heard to state and federal legislators to ensure accurate representation of public interests. For this reason, Minnesota Advocates encourages community members to take action in opposing the death penalty. This section will provide urgent actions, sample letters and news on initiatives to enable community members to take action against the death penalty on local, national and international levels.
