Andrew Williams
Andrew Williams is currently Director of Development at Minnesota Advocates. He formerly served as Director of the Posse Foundation in Chicago, and more recently as Director of Multicultural Affairs at Carleton College. Andrew received his BA in sociology-anthropology from Earlham College and a MA in cultural anthropology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. After completing his graduate work, he taught in the Department of Sociology-Anthropology and served as head of Black Studies at DePauw University.

Andrew has done research and community development work in Botswana, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic. He is especially interested in issues related to indigenous rights, urban schools, hunger, underrepresented students in higher education, community-based learning programs, and human rights education. Andrew is currently a PhD student and DOVE Fellow in the Comparative and International Development Education Program at the University of Minnesota.
