1/31/2008 10:40 AM

On February 5, 2008, Minnesotans will take part in precinct caucuses.  You can get involved and help your party support a platform that respects human rights. Download resolutions on Immigration, Housing, and Health Care issues and bring them to your caucus Tuesday evening.

Immigration Resolutions
Human rights arise out of the fundamental dignity of every person, regardless of where they were born. U.S. immigration policies must respect the basic human rights of all persons.  Download resolutions on state and federal immigration policy that embody the principles of human rights.  Read more about immigration and human rights at www.energyofanation.org.

Health and Housing Resolutions
"Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control." -Article 25 (1), Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), 1948.
