Elementary School Students

Students Celebrate Human Rights of the Child
Explains the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and the Convention on the Rights of the Child in ways that younger students can more easily understand.  Includes a gallery of illustrated articles from the UDHR as well.

 

UNICEF Voices of Youth
Easier for young students to understand than UNICEF's main site.  Also, check out the "ID Puzzle", which uses an interactive puzzle to highlight the importance of upholding human rights. Find animated cartoons highlighting the rights of children listed in the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

 

The United Nations' -- Global Teaching and Learning Project
Links to peace education and human rights education activities.  Features an Interactive Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).  Also, fact sheets about member nations as well as news, maps, calendars and an illustrated version of the UDHR.

An abundance of information for students and adults about the rights of the child.  Some material may be more appropriate for older students.

Lists names, addresses, and districts of elected officials.
