Judge Denise Reilly will present on the issue of trafficking in children including international treaties and conventions against child trafficking, the demand for trafficked children and about her personal experiences.

Biographic Information
Judge Denise Reilly graduated from the College of Wooster and William Mitchell College of Law.  She clerked for U.S. District Judge Robert G. Renner and practiced at Lindquist and Vennum before joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office. In 1997, Governor Carlson appointed her to the Hennepin County District Court.  From 1998-2005, she was assigned to the Juvenile Court and served as presiding judge from 2002-2004. In 2004 and 2005, Judge Reilly presented on how courts in Minnesota deal with child victims and witnesses at three Department of Justice sponsored conferences on human trafficking in Sri Lanka, Costa Rica and Bangkok.

The bi-monthly Children's Human Rights Speaker Series will be held throughout 2006 and 2007.
