Mary Ellingen
Mary Ellingen is a Staff Attorney with the Women's Program. Prior to joining the staff of The Advocates for Human Rights, Ms. Ellingen was a long-time volunteer for the organization, and assisted in conducting fact-finding missions and writing reports in Poland, Tajikistan and the Twin Cities metropolitan area.

She has also been an active volunteer in her children’s schools and her church. Ms. Ellingen is a 2002 recipient of The Advocates for Human Rights’ Volunteer Award and the first recipient, in 2006, of the Tom Oye Human Rights Award, given to her by the city of Edina.

Ms. Ellingen has worked in private practice in family law and in the Trust Department of the former Northwestern Bank. She received her law degree from The University of Michigan Law School and her B.A., with highest honors, from Michigan State University. She is admitted to practice in Minnesota.
