The Advocates and other organizations urge UN Special Procedures to request and conduct country visits to Ethiopia to investigate actions taken by the Ethiopian Government in response to student-led protests in the state of Oromia.
The Advocates for Human Rights released its latest report on the human rights of immigrants and refugees in Minnesota in April. The new report draws on nearly 200 individual interviews and more than 25 community conversations involving hundreds of people throughout the state. It places the findings within the context of state, federal, and international human rights law to identify what is working to promote integration and success, what is failing, and what gaps exist in public policy.
