Program Associate David Takassi ([email protected]) coordinates interpreter services and program interns.  He also handles client intake and supports the staff attorneys.

Staff attorney Emily Good ([email protected]) is responsible for direct client services, including asylum, I-730s, and I-485s.  Emily meets with all new clients to explain what clients can expect while working with The Advocates.  Emily handles day-to-day oversight of legal work in the program.

Staff attorney Malinda Schmiechen ([email protected]) coordinates the pro bono asylum project and provides direct service to asylum seekers and some individuals in immigration detention.  She is responsible for placing cases and providing technical support to volunteer attorneys. 

Michele Garnett McKenzie ([email protected]) directs the Refugee and Immigrant Program.  She is responsible for overall management of the program, including legal services and immigration policy.
