A guided fly fishing day on the beautiful Rush River including shore lunch and custom-made (just for you) handcrafted split bamboo fly rod (donated by Sam Myers and Steve Yasgur)
(retails at $1,500)

An hour from Minneapolis-St. Paul is one of the Midwest's best trout streams, the Rush River.  The successful bidder for this adventure will be hosted for a day on the river by The Advocates' Board Member, Sam Myers, and his fishing buddy, Steve Yasgur, past president of the St. Paul Fly Tiers and an expert split-bamboo flyrod maker.

You will be Sam and Steve's guest for an exciting day fishing for Brown and Brook Trout in the river where the largest Brown Trout ever caught in Wisconsin was taken.  Together, you will wade the beautiful Rush and fish in some classic, clear trout waters.  You will have a delightful shore lunch and share fishing stories with two seasoned veterans.

Whether you are a beginner or an expert, you will love this experience. You may bring your own equipment, or use theirs if you don't have any. They will provide flies, tied by Steve, suitable for attracting the elusive trout.

Last, but by no means least, you will leave with another unforgettable token of your adventure. You will become the proud owner of a handcrafted split-bamboo fly rod that Steve will make just for you. The rod will be complimented by a vintage classic fly reel matched to the rod. Fly anglers agree that nothing in the world compares to the beauty and delicacy of a good split-cane flyrod, and this one will make you envied on any trout stream you fish.
