Give to the Max Day: A 24-hour Race for Donations

Support The Advocates for Human Rights with a donation on Give to the Max Day and create lasting impact around the world. Your gift will help us protect women and girls from violence, save the lives of refugees seeking asylum, educate children and adults, research human rights conditions, and use our research to successfully advocate for change. 

 
Give to the Max Day is the great Minnesota give together: a day when Minnesotans come together to raise as much money as possible for nonprofits in 24 hours – starting at 12:00 a.m. through 11:59 p.m. on November 13, 2014. The Advocates has participated in Give to the Max Day since its creation in 2009, celebrating its community spirit of generosity. 
 
Help protect and promote human rights with a sustaining gift to The Advocates. As a sustaining donor, you can commit to donating $10 a week, $100 a month, $1000 annually, or whatever amount works for you.
 
Every gift counts! Whether you give as a longtime supporter, a new donor, or a new sustaining donor, every donation supports fundamental human rights!

Leaderboard:
Help us rise to the top of the nonprofit leaderboard! Every donation made to The Advocates on Give to the Max Day helps us climb the nonprofit leaderboard. The 10 nonprofits that raise the most money during Give to the Max Day will win a prize grant, ranging from $500 - $10,000
 
Golden Tickets:
Every donation on Give to the Max Day will be entered in an hourly “Golden Ticket” drawing, when two donations will be selected and increased by $1000. That means that every donation you make to The Advocates on Give to the Max Day could gain an extra $1000 for human rights work. Additionally, a $10,000 prize grant will be added to one donation made to a nonprofit during Give to the Max Day.
 
Power Hours:
A second way to multiply your gift is through Give to the Max Day’s five “power hours”; the nonprofits raising the most during each of power hour will win a $1000 grant. Donate during power hours and increase our ability to garner an extra $1000-$5000 for our transformative, sustainable work.

11:00-11:59pm
 
Why is Give to the Max Day important to The Advocates?
Last year our supporters raised over $30,000! Meeting this year’s goal could allow us to:
  • Educate 120 children at our Nepal school for one year, providing an alternative to child labor
  • Save the lives of people who have been forced to flee their homes, by providing legal help for asylum
  • Help stop violence against women
  • Allow The Advocates to tell the United Nations about human rights concerns in the United States and abroad.
  • Help fight discrimination, bias, and bullying in our communities.
