Ann Theisen
Ann Theisen is a Program Associate in the Human Rights Education Program, where she is developing an interactive web based version of the Energy of a Nation curriculum to motivate learning and advocacy about immigrant and refugee issues. Theisen received a Masters of Public Affairs in social and educational policy from the Humphrey Institute at the University of Minnesota and a B.A. in Spanish and English Education at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. Ms. Theisen taught middle and high school Spanish and English for 12 years in the Robbinsdale Area Schools in Minnesota and in El Paso Independent School District in Texas. Ann Theisen served as the education coordinator at the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota. Her volunteer experiences in Mexico, Ecuador and Bolivia have informed her work with immigrants and refugees to the United States.
